The whole experience exceeded our expectations. The scenery in Ha Long Bay was beautiful, the food onboard was excellent, and the activities were well planned without feeling too busy. Chloe was a fantastic guide — funny, informative, and really engaging throughout the trip. The crew also went above and beyond when they surprised my daughter with a birthday celebration complete with cake, flowers, lights, and music. It made the trip unforgettable for our family.3 Day 2 Night on Victory Star Cruise is recommended. Thanks to Jenny from Vietnam Escape Tours for booking Victory Star Cruise Halong with a great deal.

We joined the 3D2N Victory Star Cruise as a family with kids and it turned out much better than we expected. The crews were incredibly patient and warm with the children, which made the whole trip feel easy and stress-free for us as parents. There were enough activities to keep everyone entertained — kayaking, cave visits, swimming, and even squid fishing at night became one of our favorite family memories. Everything felt very organized and safe, and the staff always checked that we were comfortable. If you do not have time then 2 day 1 night Victory Star Cruise is a good option.

Ha Long Bay is a famous destination in Vietnam, so when choosing a travel place, I was very worried about it being crowded and noisy. However, Victory Star Cruise did a great job organizing the itinerary well and creating relaxing moments. My first impression was that the cruise had a classic and traditional charm. I think it's really suitable for families who want a relaxing vacation. Kayaking was the activity I enjoyed the most, while my son really liked squid fishing. This cruise is definitely a very worthwhile experience.

We'd heard mixed things about Halong Bay - some people love it, some say it's overrated. I think it really depends on which cruise you pick. Victory Star felt like the right fit for us. Not flashy, not trying too hard, just a well-run boat with a genuine atmosphere. The wooden boat itself has a lot of character. We spent the evenings on the upper deck with drinks just watching the sun drop behind the karsts and it was one of those travel moments you just don't forget. Kayaking through the smaller passages was incredible, tight, quiet, almost magical in a weird way. If you go in with realistic expectations and an open mind, this delivers something really special.

Took my parents for their anniversary trip and was honestly stressed about whether they'd enjoy it. They're not huge adventurers but they love good food and nice scenery. Victory Star ticked both boxes pretty comfortably. The pace was relaxed enough that they never felt rushed or overwhelmed. Dad did the squid fishing at night and came back absolutely buzzing about it even though he caught almost nothing. The crew were genuinely warm with them, not just polite. Seeing my parents that happy made the whole trip feel worth every penny.

We did the two-day option and it was worth it. First afternoon cruising through the bay, then woke up to this misty quiet morning with barely anyone around - that alone made the whole thing. A few small things like the wifi was basically nonexistent and our cabin shower was a little temperamental, but nothing that actually ruined anything. The cave tour was cool, didn't expect it to be as impressive as it was. Dinner on the first night was a group setting which was actually fun - ended up sharing a bottle of wine with another couple and chatting for hours. Staff were friendly without being over the top. Solid experience overall.

I almost skipped the cruise because I figured it'd be too touristy, but a friend talked me into it and I'm really glad she did. Yeah there are other boats around, but once you get moving and start exploring you kind of forget about all that. I mostly just wanted to switch off for a day and this did exactly that. The kayaking in the morning was super peaceful, and these massive rock formations everywhere. Crew left you alone when you wanted quiet, which I appreciated. Sometimes, simple is just what you need.

Honestly didn't know what to expect coming in - we booked kind of last minute and weren't sure if it was worth the extra day. Turns out it was probably the best decision we made the whole trip. The bay is just... stunning. No photo really does it justice until you're actually out there surrounded by the limestone islands. The crew were laid back but clearly knew what they were doing. Food was better than expected - fresh seafood, nothing too adventurous, just genuinely good. My husband kept going back for more. The cabin was small but we barely spent time in it anyway. Would absolutely do it again.
