We chose the name ‘Maya’ for our cruise because it translates to ‘mother’ in Arabic, which accurately reflects our respect for the legend of the mother dragon, who created Halong Bay in a fiery battle to protect Vietnam. With this in mind, the service on board the Maya Cruise takes care of our passengers as if they were our visiting offspring.
The décor of the Maya Cruise is very much rooted in Vietnam, with dark gleaming wood and smooth marble placed alongside French motifs that hark back to Vietnam’s era under colonial rule. From the top of our resplendent sundeck or the balcony of your cabin, you can watch the quiet daily scene of Lan Ha Bay occurring in front of you, offering a less busy alternative to Halong Bay while in possession of all the same beauty.
08:20 - 9h00: We will arrive to your hotel lobby in Hanoi to begin our transit to Lan Ha Bay. Start of a 2 day 1 night trip in Ha Long Bay.
12h00: At the bay, we find the Maya Cruise sitting majestically atop the water.
12h15: Join the cruise and sip on your welcome drink during the crew’s itinerary briefing.
12h40: We begin our cruising as lunch is served, sailing past some of the famous Lan Ha Bay islets.
15h00: We arrive to the area of Tra Bau, where the feeling of peace allows us much space to kayak and swim.
17h30: Back aboard the Maya Cruise, happy hour and a cooking class will ease us into the evening.
19h30: Our delicious dinner will be served in the sparkling dining room.
21h30: From this point onwards, you have the time to relax on board, maybe with some squid fishing or drinks at the bar.

06h00: Head upstairs for a great view of the sunrise and the tai chi class that accompanies it.
07h00: Our morning begins with a tasty breakfast and a trip to the Dark and Bright caves, through which we will float and emerge into an enclosed lake at their rears.
10h00: Back on the Maya Cruise, we take a delicious and filling brunch while we sail back to the harbour.
11h35: Wave goodbye to the Maya Cruise and its crew at the harbour, where we will also board our bus back to Hanoi.

08:20 - 9h00: If you are booked onto the pick-up service from Hanoi, then our driver will collect you at your hotel for the drive to Halong Bay.
12h00: At Tuan Chau harbour in Halong, we will board the awaiting Maya Cruise via tender boat.
12h15: A welcome drink and a chance to walk around the ship will introduce you to its features.
12h40: We pass Da Chong Islet and its 100-year old French lighthouse on the way into the heart of the bay.
15h00: We find one Lan Ha Bay’s many areas of relaxation at Tra Bau, giving us a chance to swim and kayak around the shimmering waters here.
17h30: A sunset party on the top deck will be enhanced with happy hour at the bar and a cooking demonstration later on.
19h30: In the Maya Cruise dining room, you will enjoy a beautiful dinner made by our talented team of chefs.
21h30: We will have movies in the restaurant afterwards, or you could simply retire to your cabin to enjoy the night at your own pace.

6h00 Enjoy the tai chi class that we will hold on the sundeck. This is a great chance to observe the morning scene of Lan Ha Bay.
8h30 After a light breakfast, we head to Viet Hai village via a smaller boat. Once arrived, we will cycle around the beautiful enclave and its many attractive surroundings. (For an extra fee, we can arrange an electric car to take you around).
13h00 A full morning in Viet Hai village will come before our delicious lunch, served on the day boat. Our next stop is Ba Trai Dao beach, where we can enjoy the golden sands and curved bay in front of a wild backdrop.
16h00 We return to the Maya Cruise in time to enjoy a cooking demonstration and watch the sunset. From the bar, you can enjoy happy hour.
19h30 Enjoy the romance of a final dinner illuminated by moonlight.
21h30 Return to the bar or try your hand at squid fishing tonight as we relax into another evening in Lan Ha Bay.

06h00: Again, tai chi accompanies a beautiful sunrise this morning atop the sundeck.
08h00: Before heading out, we enjoy a light breakfast, followed by an excursion to the Dark and Bright caves, two of Lan Ha Bay’s wet caves that offer a very beautiful environment.
10h00: We have a filling lunch before checking out of the cabins. From here, we begin our cruise back to the harbour.
11h35: Once disembarked from the harbour, we catch the bus back to Hanoi, arriving around mid-afternoon. End of a trip to Lan Ha Bay - an indispensable destination in any Vietnam Package Tours!

Booking Policy
• 50 % of the total cost is required to secure the booking.
• The remaining balance is to be paid 15 days prior to the departure date.
• In some special cases, you will be required to pay the full cost or a number greater or smaller than the standard 50% to secure your booking.
• In some special cases, the deadline for payment will be required sooner or later than the standard 15 days prior to booking.
Cancellation by Halong Bay Management Board due to bad weather
If the cancellation is made by the Halong Bay Management Board, following policies will be applied depending on the time of cancellation.
• When a cancellation is made before departure date- check-in date (if no services have been used): 100% refund.
• When a cancellation is made during the trip (some services have been used such as transfer, food, some amenities, etc.): used services will be charged, the rest will be refunded.
• When a cancellation is made before or during the departure date and the trip must be shortened from 2 nights to 1 night, 2 days 1 night trip, plus other used services will be charged, the rest will be refunded.
• The final cost will be confirmed by your consultant via email. In all cases, please contact us directly for any urgent help. We are here to support you!
Note: In case of a cancellation decision made by the Management Board of Halong Bay, an alternative travel arrangement will be made on request, or you will be refunded in accordance. In all cases, please contact our travel consultant via email or phone for support. We are always willing to provide you with any assistance you may need on or off board.
