Your tour will begin when our driver picks you up from your hotel lobby in Hanoi to take you to Hon Gai harbour in Halong city.

Once we have boarded the Dragon Legend Cruise at the harbour, we can check into the cabins and explore the interior.
13:30 – 14:30
We will take our lunch either inside or outside, depending on the weather on the day of cruising.

We find the quiet area of Mua Hoa nestled amongst the limestone mountains that shield it. We will be able to kayak and swim around here for the remainder of the afternoon.

We rejoin the Dragon Legend Cruise and head to the Cap La area, another quiet locale, where we will drop anchor for the night.

An elegant dinner is served to us in the dining room as the sun sets on another beautiful day in Bai Tu Long Bay.
You can take the evening how you wish from this point, but we will provide card games, board games and equipment for squid fishing should you want more activity before retiring to your cabin.

We have a morning of full relaxation aboard the Dragon Legend Cruise. Make the most of the spa and the onboard pool as we cruise around some of the more quiet areas of the bay.

We have a buffet brunch at this point, giving you a chance to fill up for the return journey to Hanoi.

Departing the Dragon Legend Cruise at the harbour, we board the bus for Yen Duc village, a commune that has refused modernisation for many years.

Arriving at Yen Duc we will see lots of evidence of a strong Vietnamese tradition, especially through watching a water puppet show, one of the oldest and most treasured folk traditions in Vietnam.

In the late afternoon we will pull up to your hotel in Hanoi. This signal is the end of your Halong Bay 2 days 1 night tour on the Dragon Legend Cruise, so let us thank you for your cruising with us and we hope to have the same pleasure again!

We will head to Hon Gai harbour after the driver has collected you from your hotel in Hanoi.

Greet the Dragon Legend Cruise and take a welcome drink around the ship.

Settle down in the dining room for a wonderful introductory lunch, which may also take place in the outdoor dining area if the weather is on our side.

After an early afternoon of cruising past a sea of gorgeous limestone karsts, we arrive in the Mua Hoa area in order to take our kayaks onto the placid blue water.

We will re-board the Dragon Legend Cruise before we head off to Cap La, a stunningly quiet area in which we will sleep.

The dining room will be the location for your exquisite dinner, followed by an evening of relaxing by chatting to the staff or having a go at squid fishing with new friends.

A class on the traditional Asian way to start the day, tai chi, will be held on the sundeck.

We will attempt to eat breakfast in the open air before beginning our cruising again around the newly sun-dappled rocks.

We will move onto Vung Vieng fishing village and a local will take us around while our tour guide explains the residents' unique lifestyles.

We will stick around here for a while before taking the option to move onto Thien Canh Son cave, with a plethora of interesting stalactites and stalagmites.

We will have the early afternoon on a quiet beach in secluded Bai Tu Long Bay. Lunch will also be served here in the middle of the verdant environment.

After exploring a bit more of the fantastic cliff scenery, we will head back to the Dragon Legend Cruise and join the new passengers there.

A fantastic dinner will come before the moonlit evening. Feel free to relax into it however you like, this could be via a spa session or maybe use of our luxurious onboard pool.

As we disembark the Dragon Legend Cruise and wave goodbye to the staff at the harbour, we will board another bus that will take us to Yen Duc Village, a beautiful commune with Vietnamese tradition at its heart.
13:30 – 14:00
A walk around the village and a traditional water puppet show will give us a greater understanding of attractive and quaint Vietnamese customs. We continue our journey after this and arrive back in Hanoi at about 17:00.

Cancellation by Halong Bay Management Board due to bad weather
If the cancellation is made by the Halong Bay Management Board, following policies will be applied depending on the time of cancellation.
• When a cancellation is made before departure date- check-in date (if no services have been used): 100% refund.
• When a cancellation is made during the trip (some services have been used such as transfer, food, some amenities, etc.): used services will be charged, the rest will be refunded.
• When a cancellation is made before or during the departure date and the trip must be shortened from 2 nights to 1 night, 2 days 1 night trip, plus other used services will be charged, the rest will be refunded.
• The final cost will be confirmed by your consultant via email. In all cases, please contact us directly for any urgent help. We are here to support you!
Note: In case of a cancellation decision made by the Management Board of Halong Bay, an alternative travel arrangement will be made on request, or you will be refunded in accordance. Really recommend this cruise for anyone who visit Halong. The expereince on Dragon Legend was great and it was the best expereince in our trip to Vietnam. We had very luxury cabins and everything was clean. There were a lot dishes for food and we enjoyed it so much. Our family had a birthday and the cruise offered a huge cake for my boy. it was lovely. All staffs on the cruise were very friendly, attentive and helpful. They toke care all of us and others travelers. i am sure that if you book this cruise you will have a good expereince like us.

We just came back from our 3d2n cruise in Halong Bay and honestly it was one of the best experiences we had in Vietnam. Everything was smooth from start to finish.. pick up at our hotel was right on time, the van was clean and comfy, and the driver was super safe which made us feel relaxed right away. On the boat the staff were amazing. Coco and Peter were always checking in to make sure we had everything we needed, they spoke great English and were just really kind and fun to be around. The crew even surprised us with cake for our anniversary which was such a sweet touch. The rooms were larger than I expected, very comfortable, and the boat itself felt cozy, not too many people onboard so it was easy to make friends but still peaceful. The food was incredible, so many dishes every meal and they even managed to accomodate my vegan diet (plus some allergies). Drinks were also great. Activities were well paced.. kayaking, caves, cooking class, but still left us enough time to chill on the sundeck and enjoy the stunning views. One thing I really liked is that for the 3d2n itinerary we stayed on the same boat the whole time, no transfer to a smaller day boat like some other cruises do. That made it way more relaxing and hassle free. Honestly 2 nights felt perfect, I think 1 night would have been way too rushy. Only thing is there are some short stops at local villages that felt a bit touristy, but I get that it helps support the community. Overall, this cruise was totally worth it, peaceful, fun, delicious food, and top service. Would 100% do it again

We just got back from 3 days on the Dragon Legend 1 with Indochina Junk and honestly… it lived up to the hype (and yeah, the price too 😅). The boat itself was gorgeous, huge cabins with this massive bathtub right by the window (2 people can fit in there, not kidding), a beautiful sun deck where we spent hours just watching the limestone cliffs go by, and cozy dining areas for meals. The food situation? Crazy good. Think family-style Vietnamese meals with shrimp, squid, chicken, beef, veggies, rice, they were all super tasty and plenty to go around. If seafood isn’t your thing, definitely mention it ahead, they do an awesome job accommodating preferences and even allergies. Drinks were reasonably priced too. I recommend bringing cash for tips. Speaking of the guide, KENNY was a legend. Funny, knowledgeable, full of energy, but also made everything smooth and easy. Honestly the staff overall were the real highlight, they worked nonstop to make sure we were comfortable and happy. Big thanks to them! And of course… the views. You’re here for scenery and trust me, it does not disappoint. Kayaking, caves, beaches—it’s just stunning everywhere you look. By the end we were already talking about when we’d come back haha.

We just came back from the 2-day, 3-night Dragon Legend Cruise with Indochina Junk, and it was unforgettable! This cruise goes off the beaten track into Bai Tu Long Bay, which meant fewer boats, fewer tourists, and way more of that serene, untouched scenery. Our whole trip felt calm and peacefult. It really had that relaxed, luxurious vibe without being over the top. Our cabin was a total dream. The room was not too big, but cozy and made me feel comfortable. The bathtub looked straight out onto the bay. Taking a soak while limestone cliffs drifted past? That’s a moment I’ll never forget!! What really made the cruise stand out were the experiences. We got to kayak through hidden lagoons, explore caves, and even enjoy an amazing BBQ lunch right on a private beach. Every meal onboard was authentic Vietnamese cuisine, fresh and flavorful. Even as a vegetarian, I had my own menu with dishes that were absolutely delicious. And the professional crew!! They deserves a huge shoutout.
