Our finest suite, the Terrace Suite, oozes the same elegance as the limestone spires that line our passageway. The enlarged balcony is the main feature, with its chairs, table and sofa looking directly across the bay. Luxury and romance are the two themes embodied on the Athena Cruise, one of the more beautiful vessels through which to approach Bai Tu Long Bay. We take the route less sailed through the gorgeous maze of tree-topped limestone spires which house caves, fishing villages and reclusive islands. As one of the more romantic Halong Bay cruises, we ensure that your time spent in this UNESCO-designated seascape is one that creates lasting memories between you and your special someone.
08.00 Once the driver has picked you up in your hotel, we will drive eastwards across the lovely Red River Delta as we approach Hon Gai harbour.
12.45 At Hon Gai, we find the Athena Cruise sitting ahead of a beautiful backdrop. We board and enjoy the welcome drink provided.
13.15 Check into the cabin and enjoy the lunch, served in the restaurant as we delve straight into the beauty of Bai Tu Long Bay.
14.45 We can kayak around Vung Vieng fishing village for our first activity. This is a wonderfully unique and colourful floating village where fishermen make their livings.
15.30 - 17.30 We return to the Athena Cruise and enjoy the happy hour that starts here. A cooking demonstration will be on display later to show you how to create beautiful Vietnamese food at home.
19:00 The sun fully sets as we sit down to a gorgeous dinner in the dining room.
21:00 After this, the evening is yours to spend as free time. Squid fishing and board games are two of the options for entertainment, as is the chance to utilise the onboard sauna.

06:30 Begin the day atop the burnished wood sundeck as our onboard tai chi master provides us with a beginners’ tai chi lesson. This is followed afterwards by a light breakfast.
08:00 At Thien Canh Son Cave, we will tour around the stalactites and stalagmites, along with climbing the stone staircase to a beautiful viewing platform outside.
09:00 Enjoy the full brunch in the dining room as the Athena Cruise begins its return leg to the harbour.
10:45 We leave the Athena Cruise to the waving of the staff. We can board the bus to go back to Hanoi after this.

08.00 From your hotel in Hanoi, we will take the drive through the Red River Delta until we arrive at Hon Gai harbour, the access point for Bai Tu Long Bay.
12.45 Board the Athena Cruise and enjoy a welcome drink while the staff explain the itinerary.
13: 15 Head to the dining room after this for a delicious lunch, which will set us up for the day ahead.
14.45 We cruise past an audience of limestone towers until we reach Vung Vieng Fishing Village, one of the few vibrant floating enclaves around Bai Tu Long Bay and Halong Bay. We can kayak around here or take a local sampan boat.
15.30 - 17.30 As we re-board the Athena Cruise, you will have the chance to relax at the spa and enjoy a fantastic sunset while sitting at the bar.
19:00 After sunset, there will be a graceful dinner laid out in the dining room, with the sparkling spectacle of Halong Bay at night on display outside.
21:00 The bar will remain open into the night if you want to spend some time here, otherwise, there is the chance to go squid fishing or play board games.

06:30 There will be a tai chi session on the sundeck for those up early enough. This is a great way to start the day before we begin cruising.
07:00 - 08:15 Head down to the dining room for a full Vietnamese and western breakfast.
08:30 The Cong Dam area of Bai Tu Long Bay awaits, so we will board our more nimble day boat and head straight over there. We will have the morning to relax on its islands as well as swim and kayak across its perfect waters.
12:00 Head back to the day boat to have a gorgeous lunch.
15:30 - 17.30 After more cruising around the quieter sections of the bay, we return to the Athena Cruise. A free sauna session should sound appealing to most of our passengers, as should the bar’s happy hour from 17:00 to 18:30.
17:30 Engage in an interesting cooking class to learn more about the preparation of Vietnamese foods.
19:00 Sit down for a wonderfully glamorous dinner in the dining room, with views of Halong Bay stretching out around us.
20:30 Head back to the bar or decide instead to relax on the sundeck tonight to absorb all of the magic of Halong Bay in the sparkling evening.

06:30 Take your last chance to start the day with a boost of energy via our tai chi session, occurring on the top deck.
07:00 Head to the dining room for breakfast, followed by the cruise to Thien Canh Son Cave. We will explore the various inside karst formations here and hear more about the local legends surrounding them.
09:00 Upon returning to the Athena Cruise, you will have the chance to take the last of your photos as we gradually approach the pier. Brunch will be served towards the end in the dining room.
10:45 Wave goodbye to the friendly crew as you step off the Athena Cruise and into your minivan.

Booking Policy
• 50 % of the total cost is required to secure the booking.
• The remaining balance is to be paid 15 days prior to the departure date.
• In some special cases, you will be required to pay the full cost or a number greater or smaller than the standard 50% to secure your booking.
• In some special cases, the deadline for payment will be required sooner or later than the standard 15 days prior to booking.
Cancellation by Halong Bay Management Board due to bad weather
If the cancellation is made by the Halong Bay Management Board, following policies will be applied depending on the time of cancellation.
• When a cancellation is made before departure date- check-in date (if no services have been used): 100% refund.
• When a cancellation is made during the trip (some services have been used such as transfer, food, some amenities, etc.): used services will be charged, the rest will be refunded.
• When a cancellation is made before or during the departure date and the trip must be shortened from 2 nights to 1 night, 2 days 1 night trip, plus other used services will be charged, the rest will be refunded.
• The final cost will be confirmed by your consultant via email. In all cases, please contact us directly for any urgent help. We are here to support you!
Note: In case of a cancellation decision made by the Management Board of Halong Bay, an alternative travel arrangement will be made on request, or you will be refunded in accordance. At the end of this month, we took the Athena cruise for 1 night rest and it was a spectacular experience for my family. We were introduced to do the cruise my best friend and that's why we feel so safe when booking it, anyone here wan to book please go directly to their website or travel agency to avoid scams. When on the cruise, everything was decorated beautifully from the rooms, the ship itself, the dining room. Onething to note is we drink a lot of water during the trip and the room was refilled with a lot of bottles than I expected. I could see that they concentrated on each very small part of organizing this rooms and the whole ship. I've tried kayaking to visit caves, swimming along with the cruise, but one thing I hope to do it better next time in Halong that is squid fishing cuz I saw that no one could catch it haha. Will train finishing and get back next time with better skill!

At first, we didn't plan to go to Halong for an overnight cruise but the hotel in Hanoi recommended this Athena cruise to us and we didn't feel regret at all. Luckily, we were upgraded to the Terrace Suite room, it was so clean, big and comfortable for us to enjoy Halong from our room. Thanks Tim and the team for such a nice services. They always shared with us theirs intersecting stories, jokes about their job in Ha Long, we feel a little jealous with us for being work in such a beautiful view of the bay. Besides, we decided to do this cruis also because we love their transport from our hotel in Hanoi. It has maybe 15 seats, a limousine with Wifi and the USB charging so we don't feel boring during the long drive to Ha Long. Nice services!

After doing the research from Youtube, Tiktok, TripAdvisor,... we've learnt that the cruise in Bai Tu Long Bay will be quieter than the main bay but the scenery is still beautiful so we decided to go with Athena cruise. It turned out that's true, the cruise was big enough for such a small amount of guest could fit in - luxurious and chill. When we were on the cruise, we come to compare our cruise with other cruises we saw in Bai Tu Long bay, and we were glad to make the best choice. We could recommend this cruise for who love private time because it's not to big, so that you have a romantic holiday with your partner. Nice, affordable, memorable experience.

We had a very wonderful trip with Athena cruise with a nice view from our room. The whole trip was so impressive, personal services and especially for wife such a fussy eater. All the staff and the cruise manager were so nice to us that made us miss them so much when we were back to Hanoi after this tour. We went through Sung Sot Cave, had a super crowded time on Titov Island, did kayaking in Luon cave areas,... all were perfect. Thanks Chien, you were incredibly welcoming, attentive and always did more than asked. We truly appreciated the thoughtful touches and exceptional services from all the crew. Thank you all! Also we did the cruise in Jan so we couldn't see the sunrise due to the fog haha. But the sunset was so beautiful. It was such a little thing I realize when you visit Ha Long Bay in January so just consider if you love the sunrise watching. That's all, love this experience!

Thanks the team a lot, especially Mr. Tim. From the waiting lounge of Athena cruise, we waited for the small tenders to take us to the big cruise. We had a nice lunch on board with fantastic views from every window after taking a short break on our rooms. What I loved is the sundeck at the top, very big and maybe it has more than seats for all the 21 rooms on the cruise. When I did the trip, there weren't that much people on the cruise so it's not crowded at all, but I hope that the cruise will go more viral on social media because it was so worth it. Big applause to our chef for every spectacular meals! Thanks a lot for the experience.

Best cruise ever! We had to chance to visit Sung Sot cave and the kayaking to Hang Luon (we saw the monkeys and they're so cute). All the activities were incredible that I couldn't remember how many times I was amazed by then nature here and how the cruise bring us to many spots in just 1 night here. Hannah was wonderful and always made sure that no guests were left behind during the excursions. We felt so relaxed will introduce this cruise to anyone else we know. There were also lots of hot water to shower, nice meals and the dining salon here with stunning video and music helped us to feel so comfortable. Great experience!

We did 2 nights on this cruise and we loved it so much. The transfer from our hotel in Hanoi was very smooth, a big limousine and it was surprisingly comfortable for a person has been felt carsick for my whole life. They had a stop for a break on our way to Ha Long, very organized for us to buy some snacks or go to the restrooms. We also checked in the cruise smoothly after sometimes waiting at the reception area to wait for the speed boat to pick us up. There were some tour guides that helped us to check in and follow us during the trip each day when visit the caves or do the kayak. We could feel that all the staff love their job, they were always smiling to us and welcoming us each time we comeback to the big cruise. They just made our day, and we could feel that Vietnamese people are so nice and they run the travel services so good! Thank you so much to the Athena team!

Athena cruise was my first trip in Halong and it went beyond my expectations. That was why I realized that why all the trip in Halong is more expensive compared to other regions, it's very worth it to book this cruise in the last minute. The views from the cruise were very stunning and our rooms, the ship were clean and well-prepared, thank you to all the staff here. They equipped all the necessary things from the bathroom with toothbrush, sets, combs, cotton swabs, towels. My daughter really loved kayaking, squid fishing although she couldn't catch any squid. I also enjoyed kayaked with her for the first time and definitely loved it so much, not scary at all.
