15.30: After lunch, we will head to Tra Bau area. You can do kayaking or bamboo boat rowed by locals here.
17.30: Rejoin the Mon Cheri Cruises by the time the sun sets over the Gulf of Tonkin – the most beautiful time of the day. Also it’s time for a sunset party.
18.30: Attend to a cooking class to learn how to cook the most traditional Vietnamese dishes.

08.40: Our next destination is Cat Ba Island. You will visit the most beautiful stalagmite and stalactite cave located in Cat Ba National Park. That is Trung Trang Cave. When you visit this cave you will walk in the cave and you will be impressed by the beauty of the cave. You will also know more about Cat Ba Island along the way from the Gia Luan Harbour to the cave, feeling the fresh air of Cat Ba Island and the jungle there.
10.30: Back to Mon Cheri Cruise and check out. Enjoy a brunch while the cruise sails back to the pier.
11.30: Disembark and return to the port.
12.15: Jump on the luxury Limousine Dcar and get back to Hanoi.

6:00: A tai chi class will help us start the day right, along with a full breakfast and a unique blend of tea created especially for the Mon Cheri Cruise.
08:00: We board the day boat and make our first stop today, Cat Ba Island, where we will find Viet Hai village. We will take in views of the village and surrounding landscape on a cycling tour, keeping an eye out for cheeky langur monkeys along the way.
For an additional cost, an electric buggy can be utilised for your comfort.
12:00: Back on the day boat, we will enjoy a special lunch and begin cruising over to our next destination.
13:45: We reach Van Boi bay, where we will find the magical Van Boi beach and a wealth of kayaking and swimming opportunities away from the usual tourist route.
16:00: We re-board the Mon Cheri Cruise at this point and you can enjoy the late afternoon in a style that suits you.
19:15: A gorgeous sundeck heralds the evening, which starts off with a glorious dinner in the restaurant.
20:45 – 00:00: There are many onboard activities this evening like squid fishing on the tender boat and having drinks at the bar, all along with the option of returning to your comfortable cabin for a great night’s sleep.

06:00: Tai chi and a buffet breakfast will start the new day in Lan Ha Bay.
9:30: At the dock of Cat Ba Island, we take a very scenic drive on a bus to the Trung Trang Cave. There are a lot of stalagtites and stalacmites with different shapes and you will be impressed by the beauty of the cave. Take the time walking in the cave and breath the fresh air of Cat Ba National Park.
We continue to the ferry terminal where we will catch a ferry to the mainland. The Mon Cheri bus will be waiting here to return us to Hanoi. This signal is the end of your Halong Bay 3 day 2 night tour on the Mon Cheri Cruise.

Cancellation by Halong Bay Management Board due to bad weather
If the cancellation is made by the Halong Bay Management Board, following policies will be applied depending the time of cancellation.
• When a cancellation is made before departure date- check-in date (if no services have been used): 100% refund.
• When a cancellation is made during the trip (some services have been used such as transfer, food, some amenities, etc.): used services will be charged, the rest will be refunded.
• When a cancellation is made before or during the departure date and the trip must be shortened from 2 nights to 1 night, 2 days 1 night trip, plus other used services will be charged, the rest will be refunded.
• The final cost will be confirmed by your consultant via email. In all cases, please contact us directly for any urgent help. We are here to support you!
Note: In case of a cancellation decision made by the Management Board of Halong Bay, an alternative travel arrangement will be made on request, or you will be refunded in accordance. • In case of adverse weather conditions in Halong Bay, the cancellation will ONLY be made by the Halong Bay Management Board. Usually the announcement will be declared very close to or on the departure date and our refund policy will come into effect.
From Hanoi, Mon Cheri cruise bus will pick you up aat your hotel in Hanaoi Old Quarter from 08.00 - 08.30 AM with Limousine Shuttle van. If you do not stay in Hanoi Old Quarter, bus will pick you up at Hanoi Opera House. If you go with a private car and Vietnam Escape Tours can pick you up from all places in Hanoi but please inform our team about your hotel address in advance so we can set up the meeting time because in the morning, most of the streets in Hanoi can have traffic jams.
The Mon Cheri cruise bus does not pick up from Ninh Binh but Vietnam Escape Tours can arrange bus to pick you up from Ninh Binh. The pick up time from Ninh Binh will be from about 7:30 am to 8:00 am. You need to inform our staffs when you book the cruise with us about your hotel address so we can set up the meeting time.

From September to Oct there weather will be cooler but there will be more typhoon affecting the North Vietnam. From November there will be less rain and typhoon here, it will be cool also. However, i think 2 rooms for you and your kids with a connecting door will be the best. In that case, you still can check safety for your kids and you also have 2 private rooms with 2 bathrooms. The difference between the rooms is the location of each room type will be different. This cabin type can be in the first floor but other can be in the second floor or third floor which give you the different view. The other difference is the room size. As you can see the Ocean Suite is 35M2 while the Elegance Suite is 45M2 and the Suite Terrace is 55M2 while the President is 70M2. The different cabin with different location, differen size and they have different price. There is some compimentary decoration and offer for the high class cabin also. We initially booked the Peony Cruise (which is under the same company as Mon Cheri), but for some reason, Alice transferred us to this cruise instead. It turned out to be such a happy twist of fate—especially since we were celebrating my birthday! Alice took care of our transfer from the Old Quarter to Halong and was incredibly attentive throughout the whole process. Big thanks to Alice! What really touched me was the birthday surprise the crew prepared during dinner. They even gave me a cake! It was such a thoughtful gesture and made the night truly unforgettable. Our room was spacious, spotless, and had a lovely balcony. I especially enjoyed relaxing in the massage chair—such a treat! The food was also outstanding. Compliments to the chef—we enjoyed every meal from start to finish. All in all, this cruise was an incredible experience and totally worth it. Me and my bf booked this cruise last week on our 7 days trip in the North of Vietnam and we loved it. We were so lucky to be upgraded to President cabin, and the room was so beautiful that we couldn't be more satisfied. Also the itinerary was engaging and fun enough to make us get out of my comfort bed. Kayaking in Halong Bay was amazing when you are among thousands of limestone rocks and you can kayak in and out the caves around. Halong Bay is definately a good place to visit and Mon Cheri is a good cruise for visiting Halong Bay. We were in room 301 and it was so stunning that made us so surprised. It had a big deck, a massage chair a big bathroom with a luxurious jacuzzi, all things will satisfy you once you see it. We just took this trip as relaxing as possible so we didn't atttend in any activities such as cave visiting, kayaking, swimming or squid fishing in the night. Just a Tai Chi lesson in the early morning and was a great way for us to begin our new day here and then take a breakfast that was included in the price. The view we got from the cruise especially of the sunrise was no joke and we definitely will comeback here with my entire family. Just come back to the UK and this is my review. My family did the 2D1N trip on this Mon Cheri cruise and it was my best decision in this 10 days trip in Vietnam. Thanks Jason for providing us a very good service during 1 night on the cruise, very attentive and polite. We did love the kayaking and happy hour here and will recommend who love to experience more than just relaxing at their room. All the meals were incredible, diverse or you could request for a specific menu such for vegetarian, people who are allergic to anything. We also had free water or coffee, tea that are available for breakfast - nice. They also gave us the itinerary paper to follow during the trip, everything was perfectly orginized for us. The last thing I want to mention is we had a conversations with some groups of friends on the cruise and they loved the trip too, I think I could recommend it to my entire family or friends who plan to travel Vietnam in the future.
