It takes about 3 hour- driving from Hanoi to Halong Bay including about 20 minutes for a break on the halfway. From Hanoi to Halong Bay we will pass many towns which the speed is limited so it takes such a long time for about 170 kms. Our bus will pick you up from hotels in Hanoi Old Quarter about 08.00 - 08.30 AM and we arrive Tuan Chau Harbour about 11.30 - 12.00.
We will pick you up from your hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter. If you do not stay in Hanoi we will pick you up at Hanoi Opera House 08.30 AM. Our guide will hold the name board with your name to pick you. Please give us your contact number which available in Vietnam so we can pick you up better.

Normally, it is about 20 to 35 people on our cruise but that is a group tour so the number of the group is not fixed. The maximum for the cruise is 48 people. We use the different buses and van so the number of people on the bus is also not fixed. Normally there are 8 to 12 people on 18 limousine bus, 15 to 24 people on 35 seated bus. It depends on the number of customers doing the tour then Vietnam Escape Tours will choose the suitable bus for the best arrangement for pick-up and comfort of customers.
We use the different buses and vans depending on the number of people on the bus is also not fixed. Normally there are 8 to 12 people on 16 seated van,15 to 24 people on 35 seated bus. It depends on the number of customers doing the tour then Vietnam Escape Tours will choose the suitable bus for the best arrangement for pick-up and comfort of customers.
Our bus or van will have your name and guide will come to your hotel to pick you up with your name so that is easy for you to recognize us. Besides that, our guide will wear the uniform with our logo. When we arrive our guide will have the name board with your name on that so that is easy for you to see us. Our guide will confirm if you will take the Halong Bay Day Tour or Hoa Lu Tam Coc Day Tour to make sure that we do not make the mistake. You may leave your contact number in Vietnam then we may call you when we arrive. That is good if you use Whatsapp or Viber then we can contact you easily. You may call to our office or your travel consultant if you do not see our guide or driver when the meeting time is over.
We will not pick you up from Halong City because it will take time for us to go there and we need to ensure the departure time. So please take the transfer from Halong City to the public Tuan Chau Harbour. There will be no private waiting area there so we will send you our guide's contact then you can meet him easily. Please make sure that you will have a contact number in Vietnam so we can call you easily. In case, you can not find us or do not have a contact number please ask the staffs at the harbour for a call to our guide, your travel consultant or our office so we can pick up better. That will be not difficult to ask for a free call from some staffs, officers working at Tuan Chau harbour or any Vietnamese you see there. Our Halong Bay Day Trip will depart at around 12.00 but please try to get there earlier to ensure you are not late.
If you do not use our transfer and you will arrange the transfer to Halong Bay on your own you will meet our guide at Tuan Chau Harbour. You must be there before 11.30 to make sure that you do not miss the trip. Please give us your contact number or your driver number and save your travel consultant/office number to have the better pick-up. Before your departure date please ask us for the guide's contact number. Cruises in Halong Bay will start from Tuan Chau Harbour at around 12.00 and there is no private waiting area so the contact number will be the best way for the perfect pick-up.
