Upon your landing to Hanoi airport, you will find our driver holding a sign with your name on it. From here, we take the transfer together to Hanoi Old Quarter, the historic centre of Hanoi where we will find your hotel.

You are free to explore or relax after checking in to your hotel.

Take breakfast in your Hanoi hotel and prepare for the transfer to Ninh Binh. Once the driver arrives at your hotel lobby, we will begin the 2-hour drive through the glorious Red River Delta, finding scenes of ancient farming methods employed in pristine surroundings.

Once you arrived in the lush province, we drive through your first scenes of Vietnam's limestone mountains and rice paddies, ending in Hoa Lu. This was Vietnam’s capital between 968AD and 1010AD, spanning the 42 years that the country was known as ‘Dai Co Viet’. It is from here that two emperors ruled the kingdom before the capital was moved to Hanoi. We can find homages to Emperor Dinh and Emperor Le at the two temples that were built to honour them, coated in gorgeous architecture that matches the majesty of the walls around the enclave and the rising, tree-topped mountains behind it.

From here, we move onto Tam Coc, where we enjoy a delicious buffet lunch before delving into the natural majesty on offer here. We start this at the head of the Ngo Dong River, where we will climb into one of the wooden boats and relax into a 90-minute cruise up and down the scenic waterway. We cut in between soaring limestone cliffs and a carpet of rice paddies around us, while our boat slides underneath cave ceilings forged over tens of thousands of years.

After our cruise, we have a tranquil cycling ride along the flat paths of Tam Coc. We pedal our way through the village and its surroundings, marveling at the beauty on offer and making use of the chance to capture incredible photos of karst peaks punctuating the flat plateaus of rice.

Our bus heads back to Hanoi after this, where we will drop you off at your hotel in the centre of the capital. End of Hoa Lu Tam Coc Day Tour and the 2nd of our Hanoi Ninh Binh Halong Bay Package 4 Day.

07.30 – 08.00 AM: After breakfast at your hotel, the driver will arrive and take you across the Red River Delta for the boat tour to Lan Ha Bay, ending our scenic transit in Hai Phong City. The transit distance to Lan Ha Bay is about half that of Halong Bay, giving us much more time to enjoy on board our cruise.

We find the cruise waiting for us at Got Harbour. We board the luxury day cruise and head out into Lan Ha Bay, listening to a welcome briefing and enjoying a spectacular lunch as we sail past Lan Ha’s iconic limestone spires.

After relaxing on the boat for a few hours, we arrive at our first destination, the beautiful area of Tra Bau. We kayak around here for a while, admiring the statuesque nature of the karst rocks and gliding silently beneath their overhanging trees. There are no cruise ships here, so we will be able to enjoy the serenity of Tra Bau and Lan Ha Bay at its peak.

Once we are done here, we start cruising over to the Dark & Bright Caves, where we will board a local sampan boat driven by a resident of the bay. We glide beneath the rock ceiling of the Bright Cave, emerging into the light at the back, where we find a hidden lake surrounded by tree-clad cliffs. We explore the area with our resident guide, who will show us the best of this secretive spot.

We spend the second half of the afternoon on board the cruise, simply gliding through the magical seascape around us. Find total relaxation on the twin sundecks, the living room or the dining room as we cruise around, eventually making our way back to the harbour as the sun begins to set. This time is accompanied by a cooking and fruit carving demonstration, as well as a western service of afternoon tea on board.

Back at the harbour, we disembark and board the bus waiting to take us back to Hanoi. Once we have arrived in the capital in the evening, we will drop you off at your hotel.

You will be able to enjoy your breakfast and whatever free time you have left before your flight. About three hours prior to the departure time, the driver will arrive at your hotel and provide the private transfer to the airport.
