Outstanding limestone mountains crown the top of Vietnam, proudly displaying their beauty to all those trekking in their shadows. On this 3-day trekking tour of Sapa from Hanoi, you can be one of the many awe-inspired visitors to Vietnam’s mountainous north, reveling in the natural wonderment on display here and enjoying experiences unique to Sapa.
Over the course of 3-days, this northern Vietnam tour heads from Hanoi to Sapa and back, enjoying easy trekking around humble rice paddies and wild forests descending to valley floors. We pass through modest villages of smiling locals, all belonging to ethnic minorities who make up the colorful patchwork of cultures in Vietnam. In one village, we spend the night in a beautiful homestay, enjoying the tranquility with our hosts and getting a feel for the extraordinary lives they live every day.
Activities: Take the bus from Hanoi to Sapa before our easy trek to Cat Cat and Sin Chai villages.
Prepare your luggage and wait for the driver to pick you up at your hotel. This will happen between 7:00 and 7:30 am, followed by the 5.5-hour drive to the beautiful north of Vietnam, stopping at scenic sites and a rest stop along the way.
We arrive in the beautiful former French hill town and check you straight into your hotel for the night. Following this, we have lunch in the town and a short break to recuperate from the drive.
Around 01:30 pm, the guide will come to your hotel and introduce themselves before leading you on the first of your trekking tours. This will be a simple trek to Cat Cat Village, where we can find a beautifully humble gate and a wealth of wooden houses that match it. We can also meet many members of the Black H’mong tribe, who has a distinctive and ancient culture that we can learn much more about.
After some time here, we carry on northwards to Sin Chai Village, another attractive home of the Black H’mong wearing their ornate traditional dress. Near to Sin Chai, we will proceed down a path and find a wonderful waterfall and bridge, where we can take some photos of Sapa’s stunning natural beauty in full force.
We press uphill for a short distance and board the bus for the drive back to Sapa town, where we will drop you off at your hotel and leave you to get to know the former hill station over the evening time.

Activities: Head further out of Sapa town through perfect scenery to three different villages, staying overnight in the last one in a traditional homestay.
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at your hotel in Sapa town before the guide arrives at about 9:30 am. Put on your walking boots and we will make our way to the village of Y Linh Ho, heading past the sweeping scenery of the Muong Hoa Valley en route.
We proceed on paths between terraced rice paddies hugging the walls of sloped mountains, with a jagged range of cloud-covered peaks standing in the background. The verdant greenery of the vast forests and stretching fields of rice plants will provide us with an atmosphere of freshness as we walk through this highly exotic and beautiful land, eventually ending in Y Linh Ho and relaxing with the Black H’mong locals here.
Through similarly outstanding scenery, we reach the village of Lao Chai, where we will take another break. We proceed down a road flanked with stalls selling local fruits and snacks, where we can pick up exotic produce to accompany our picnic lunch.
Lunch will be served in the open-air shortly afterwards, letting us soak up the majesty on full display in front of us while enjoying local food of the freshest quality. We press onwards after this to Ta Van village, home of the warmly welcoming Giay ethnic minority.
Upon our arrival to Ta Van, we will see the hospitality of the Giay people in full as we check into our homestay and meet our smiling hosts. Relax for the remainder of the afternoon until a delicious dinner is served by and enjoyed with the family. The evening time will be one of the utmost serenity as you relax beneath a star-studded sky.

Activities: Finish our trekking at Giang Ta Chai village, with lunch on the way, before transferring back to Sapa town for the return drive to Hanoi.
We share breakfast with our host family, who will wave us off as we begin our trekking to Giang Ta Chai village. This is along a path that cuts through a bamboo forest, offering us picturesque scenery in the shadows of Sapa’s tree-clad mountain ranges.
Just before we arrive at the village, we make a detour towards a waterfall, which will be the perfect spot for us to enjoy another outdoor lunch. We soak up the beauty of nature here before finishing our tour at our final destination in Sapa – Giang Ta Chai.
After some time in the village and the last of our conversations with the locals, we take the drive back to Sapa town and relax until about 3:00 – 3:30 pm. At this time, the bus returns and we board it to start our return to Hanoi.
We arrive in the capital at about 9:15 pm and take you straight to your hotel in the center. End of Sapa 3 Day Trekking Tour By Bus From Hanoi.
