Halong Bay has been an area of tradition and phenomenal natural beauty for millennia, but increasing tourism has put the bay in a new light. This is why the Jade Sails Halong Bay, its most modern cruise ship in Halong Bay, offers its services to all passengers looking for something new and different from the copy-and-paste cruise liners currently plying its waters.
On the Jade Sails, our 5-star philosophy reaches every corner, manifesting itself in a modern boat with all of the luxury additions. Featuring an elaborate two restaurants, spa, wooden sundeck, café, bar and comfortable lounge, the Jade Sails is very well equipped to make your passage as relaxing and enjoyable as possible.
The cruise features an unprecedented 10 hours of cruising in its itinerary, more than any other day service in Halong Bay and with the same amount of activities as an overnight cruise in Halong. All of this takes place in Lan Ha Bay, which is the southern route of Halong Bay, taking less than half of the time to reach from Hanoi. The other huge bonus to the bay is its wonderful quietness, as the vast majority of cruises are drawn to Halong Bay’s main body, leaving much of the tranquil beauty exclusively for passengers of the cruise.
Activities:
07.00 - 07.30 AM: Pick-up from hotel
Be ready at your hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter then our driver and luxury bus will pick you up from your hotel for the transfer to Tuan Chau Harbour.
09.30 – Step Aboard the Jade Sails
Our tour starts at Tuan Chau Harbour, where we board the ferry and cross the sea to Gia Luan Harbour. Here is where the Jade Sails will be sitting majestically in the water, backed by the incredible limestone peaks of Cat Ba Island. Take your welcome drink aboard the luxurious cruise and explore at your leisure; we will set sail shortly afterwards.
10.30 - Cooking Class
We begin our sailing with a cultural cooking class, led by one of our chefs. This is a great opportunity to learn how to make Vietnamese spring rolls in an engaging and social atmosphere.
11.30 – Lunch
With your appetite peaked, the crew will serve lunch in the dining room, which will be accompanied by traditional Vietnamese music played live by the multi-talented staff of the cruise.
13.30 – Riding through the Dark & Bright Caves
The beautiful twin cavern systems of the Dark & Bright Caves ( Get More Detail ) are our next destination, presenting themselves in two very different ways. On a wooden sampan boat rowed by a local, we make our way through the Bright Cave, with its limestone ceiling of ancient and evocative stalactites. At the back of the cave lies a sparkling lagoon, hidden from sight and containing a whole world of wonder in its rocky borders and the tropical plants that grow to high peaks.
15.15 – Kayaking and Swimming in Tung Gau
Once we have returned to the Jade Sails and have progressed deeper into the limestone maze of mountains, we arrive at Tung Gau, a wild expanse of over 400 forested islands. The serene atmosphere and lack of other cruise ships make this the perfect place to head into the water for kayaking and swimming, with incredible scenery rising up on all sides of us.
16.00: Cooking Class
You will enjoy the cooking class on Jada Sails Lan Ha Bay and Halong Bay. You will learn how to make the Vietnamese dishes and enjoy them. That is a great experience and you can do it at home.
16.30 – Sunset Party on the Jade Sails
We return to the Jade Sails for the final time to relish the magnificence of a vivid red sunset, which casts a beautiful red glow over Lan Ha Bay. Enjoy the spectacle with new and old friends, all while enjoying happy hour at the bar or during a relaxing massage session at the onboard spa.
17.30 – Ferry to Tuan Chau Harbour
We reach Gia Luan Harbour and take the ferry to Tuan Chau Harbour in Halong City. This is where your time with the Jade Sails will come to a close.
