Honestly, I had such a great time on the Halong Amethyst Day Cruise. Boarding was super smooth — no waiting around, the crew just welcomed us in and showed us where to go. Right from the start, they were friendly and helpful, making sure everyone felt comfortable. The boat itself was clean, spacious, and not overcrowded, which I really liked. I spent a lot of time out on the sundeck just watching the cliffs and the water go by — it was so peaceful. The kayak trip was another highlight for me; the water was calm and it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. The staff were amazing. They’d check in now and then to see if I needed anything, and they even helped me take some of my favorite photos from the trip. Small things like that really made the day special. By the time we got back to the harbor, I was tired in the best way possible — relaxed, happy, and already thinking I’d love to do it again next time I’m in Vietnam.

I really appreciated that it never felt crowded — there was plenty of space to relax without feeling rushed or cramped, which made for the perfect balance of adventure and tranquility. One of the unexpected highlights was how many amazing photos the staff took for me throughout the day. It’s not easy capturing moments like these when you’re traveling alone, but they helped me take home memories I can look back on forever.

He shared lots of interesting stories and history about Ha Long Bay, and kept us entertained the whole time. The whole tour cost about $45, and for what we got - transport, great food, friendly staff, and fun activities - it was amazing value. Our day cruise with Amethyst Cruise through Ha Long Bay was absolutely unforgettable. From start to finish, the crew’s professionalism and warm hospitality made the experience stand out. Special thanks to Rosie, the cruise manager, and Chloe, the cruise assistant, for going above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly. The itinerary was thoughtfully planned, striking the perfect balance between exploration and relaxation. The premium buffet lunch was a highlight - full of fresh seafood and traditional Vietnamese dishes that catered to all tastes. Sailing through the bay on both a high-speed boat and bamboo boat felt magical. We were amazed by the natural beauty of Turtle Islet, Human Head Islet, Butterfly Cave, Virgin Women Cave, Drum Cave, Saddle Islet, and the Pearl Farm. Sung Sot Cave was a standout - truly deserving of its reputation as the most beautiful in the bay. We wrapped up at TiTop Island, where the panoramic view from the top was well worth the climb. A relaxing tea break and light meal on the way back to Tuan Chau Port was the perfect ending. If you’re after a luxurious and scenic day cruise, Amethyst is the way to go. Highly recommended!

This isn’t a paid review - I wish it was! But seriously, Amethyst Cruise deserves the credit for making this one of the best experiences of my Vietnam trip. At first, I thought the price was a bit high, but once the trip started, I realized it was worth every penny. When you're on holiday, comfort and great service matter - and Amethyst delivers both. The interior is modern and cool, which is a blessing after the heat of the outdoor activities (trust me, you’ll appreciate that A/C!). The crew is fantastic - super friendly, warm, and genuinely welcoming. Big thanks to Ruby for treating us like family, and to the manager too - you can tell the whole team is giving 100% to make guests feel comfortable and cared for. The food was delicious, especially the jellyfish salad, though I wouldn’t say no to slightly bigger portions! Ending the day in the jacuzzi watching the sunset was pure magic - the ultimate self-care moment. They even pick you up from your hotel in the Old Quarter in a luxurious, comfy limo bus, right on time. Thank you, Amethyst, for an unforgettable journey

We booked a Halong Bay day cruise from Hanoi, and it was totally worth the money. A few days before, the agent reached out to confirm everything. On the day, the driver picked us up around 7 AM and the ride took about 1.5-2 hours with a quick rest stop. When we got to the bay, we registered, got our lanyards, and hopped on the cruise. It was a bit drizzly but the boat was super spacious, clean, and luxurious. Everyone had assigned seats which made things easy. After a short intro, we had brunch - not halal but there were a few vegetarian options. First stop was Sung Sot Cave, which was amazing! Then we headed to Hang Luon where you could choose kayaking or a bamboo boat ride (there's also a speedboat option for $10). After that, we went snorkeling at a beach for about 30-45 minutes, then had some afternoon tea on board. The best part? The crew surprised us with a birthday celebration - such a sweet and thoughtful gesture! After the cruise, the shuttle took us back to Hanoi. Would totally go again, maybe for an overnight stay next time. Thank you for the lovely experience! ❤️🇻🇳

The cruise was very clean and luxury. We could not ask for more with a affordable price. Lunch, entrance fee, kayaking and bus were included in the tour. From the pick-up to the end of the trip everything ran smoothly. I was only myself but cruise staffs took care of me very well. Lily and Sunny were very helful, friendly and informative. They are very knowlegable about the destination. Food was fantastic with many dishes. I enjoyed all moment on Amethyst cruise Halong and really recommend this cruise for anyone want to visit Ha Long for 1 day.

The facility on Amethyst Cruise is very luxury and tour was well organized. My father in law has special need but all staffs are very happy to help us. Food was excellent with seafood option. Chloe was so kind and informative. It was not easy to choose a day cruise in Halong but we chose Amethyst and it was excellent. In May our group of friends travelled to Halong Bay with Amethys Cruise Halong Bay. Luckily we had a good weather and it was not so crowed that time and the cruise started about 10 am to 5 pm. There were a lot of activities. Amethyst cruise is very clean from the dinning room to even the bathroom. The cruise provide with stunning view from both of its decks. Food is delicous and vast spead of food. All people on boat enjoyed the lunch so much. Staffs on cruise were warm and very attentive. They make sure all people can enjoy the trip from beginning to the end of the trip. Rosy was great and took care us a lot with taking good photos and answered all of our question. We did all activities of the cruise from walking to the cave - Sung Sot Cave to climbing to the mountain and did kayaking. i really recommend this day cruise to all people.

did the trip with Amethyst cruise Halong with my family and we have entire happy with the trip. From the beginning to the end of the trip everything was great. The staffs on cruise were hepful and Sunny did a great job. Very good food lunch and they did have extra food for vegan family. We enjoyed the trip so much. Amethyst was recommened by Luaren from Vietnam Escape Tours and it did not disappoint us. Very nice cruise with good food. Mr. Y was helpful and very informative. He explained all things in Halong Bay so we understand more about Halong. We visited the beach and also the cave in Halong. The cave was a bit difficul to walk but it is good to visit. It was beautiful. We had pleasure on cruise all the time. Amethyst was about 7 hour cruise and it is much better than other cruise just for abour less than 5 hours. I think about 4.5 hour cruise we do not have enough time to discover Halong. Halong was beautiful. If Halong with less travelers and i think it is better. :) but we have to accept that is beautiful so more people want to visit Halong. Recommend Amethyst cruise for anyone want to visit Halong but you do not have time for an overnight cruise.

Travelling on Amethyst in April when the weather was not so hot. Many people say that from May it is hot and very crowed. We were lucky when we had a good weather in Vietnam and in Halong With Amethyst cruise. The cruise was very clean and looked luxury. From top deck you can have a good view about the bay. All staffs were very helpful especially Breana. She helped us from small things like taking photo with a good view. Kayaking was amazing there and we recommend you to try kayaking in Halong. The cruise overall is excellent. Have stunny view from the top deck of the cruise. The food is excellent and they were served very orderly. Our parents loved the lunch on cruise so much.
