 Activities: Landing in Hanoi and discover Hanoi on your own way

Arrive in Hanoi and find your driver waiting for you at the airport. Take the transfer into the central district of Hanoi, the Old Quarter, and check into your hotel there.

You will have free time in the afternoon for discovering Hanoi on your own way.  In your free time you may visit Hoan Kiem Lake or Hanoi Old Quarter with a lot of shops, restuarants.

 Activities: Visit Hanoi’s famous sites and delve into its street food culture.

After breakfast, your full day Hanoi city tour will start at your hotel, where the guide and driver will meet you.

We take the drive to the central political district of Ba Dinh, where everything about Vietnam’s national hero, Ho Chi Minh, is revered. Around the many sites to be found here, we get a better understanding of Ho Chi Minh and his present-day appeal to the Vietnamese people. We see this at the mausoleum and the stilt house where he lived his later years. We delve back through time with a look at the French colonial Presidential Palace and the ancient One-Pillar Pagoda.

After this, we proceed southwards to the Temple of Literature, a nearly 1000-year-old university that taught the best minds in the country. The verdant gardens and beautiful architecture here will transport us back to a simpler time, one where the teachings of Confucius were the main subject materials to learn.

We have lunch after this and take the choice of two museums for our next stop. The National Museum of Vietnamese History is a comprehensive look back through events in Vietnam and the culture that was carved out of by them. The Vietnam Museum of Ethnology takes visitors on a journey through the 53 ethnic minority groups and their varying customs, each of which are colourful, humble and displayed in full through artifacts and full-scale replicas of stilt houses.

The tour ends in the Old Quarter, where we will walk around and see some of the fantastic architecture that makes Hanoi such a picturesque city.

Temple-of-Literature

 Activities: Take the drive to Halong Bay and enjoy a variety of activities on your overnight cruise.

Please Note: The Halong Bay Cruise itinerary listed here is merely an example. During the booking process of this tour, you will be provided with a selection of different cruises on which to enjoy the bay. Each of these cruises visits different destinations around Halong Bay though their itineraries are all similar in nature.


Breakfast is served at your hotel before the driver arrives outside. Jump in the bus and take the drive eastwards, where your 2-day, 1-night Halong Bay trip will begin.

We arrive to find our traditional junk boat waiting in the water. After boarding, a delectable lunch will be served in the dining room, all while we set sail past the first of the limestone towers that give Halong Bay its unique identity.

Our first stop of the tour is to Sung Sot Cave, where a tour guide will introduce us to the majesty on offer with a walkthrough. The stalactites and stalagmites here have been formed over tens of thousands of years and provide a hidden dimension to the beauty of Halong Bay.

After this, we cross a channel of emerald water and find Titop Island. Here, we have time to relax on the white sand beach and take in the views of the bay in front. For the best views, take the 20-minute walk up the stone steps of the island and end at the panoramic viewing platform at the top.

We return to the cruise to enjoy a party held on the sundeck. Happy hour and a beautiful sunset accompany our cruising at this time, after which, dinner is served in the sparkling dining room. End your perfect day with relaxation time on the cruise.

Kayaking

 Activities: Finish the activities of your Halong Bay tour and head to Hanoi airport for the flight to Da Nang, followed by the drive to Hoi An.

The day starts with tai chi on the sundeck, which is a great chance to see the majesty of Halong Bay during sunrise. A light breakfast is served downstairs as we prepare ourselves for cruising.

We have a very leisurely morning to enjoy in Halong Bay, with much time for relaxing on board and some time to spend kayaking around quiet waters. Towards the end of the morning, we enjoy a filling brunch and head back to the harbour, where we disembark and head to the city of Halong.

Our driver will meet you in Halong and transfer you to Hanoi’s airport. From here, you will take your flight to Da Nang and meet the new driver at the airport there. Following this is a quick transfer to Hoi An, where you can check into your hotel upon arriving and start to enjoy one of the most magical places in Vietnam.

Thu-Bon-River

 Activities: Cycle to Bay Mau water coconut forest and enjoy a fishing experience on the water and cooking experience with the locals, before free time back in Hoi An.

09:00: The local guide picks you up at your hotel lobby and transfers you to Cam Thanh Fishing Village.

09:30: Transfer to Cam Thanh village by car or boat on the way, meet local fishermen and experience the daily life

10:00: Take a bamboo basket boat on the Cam Thanh water coconut forest and have a brief introduction to the history there.

11:00: Join local fishermen on the river and enjoy the hands-on experience of round net and cast net fishing.

 Activities: Have free time in Hoi An for beach then take the flight from Da Nang to Ho Chi Minh

You will have a free day today for beach. 

2 hours before your flight time: Our driver will pick you up for your the transfer to Da Nang Airport for your flight to Ho Chi Minh. 

Arriving in Ho Chi Minh: Our driver will pick you up for transfer to your hotel in Ho Chi Minh.

 Activities: Visit Cu Chi Tunnels and Ho Chi Minh City

08.00 AM: Have breakfast at your hotel and our guide and driver will pick you up, take the nearly 2-hour drive to the northwest of Ho Chi Minh City. We will arrive in the wild jungle, underneath which lies the Cu Chi Tunnels.

After a brief historical introduction to the tunnels, we head below the jungle floor and into the 250km span of the Cu Chi Tunnels. We will look around a segment of the tunnels that includes hospital quarters, classrooms, storage facilities and command centres, all built by local Viet Cong farmers. Afterwards, we return to the jungle and try our best to locate some of the incredibly well-camouflaged trap doors and entrance holes that were the best defence against American and Viet Minh troops during the war.

We will have our lunch at a nearby restaurant before we return to Ho Chi Minh City.

Back in the former capital of South Vietnam, we have a tour of some of the city’s most important sites, starting with the War Remnants Museum. We can learn more about the history of the Vietnam War here before we proceed to either the Museum of Vietnamese History, providing accounts of the evolution of Vietnamese culture, or the Reunification Palace, which is where the war was ended in 1975.

We continue our afternoon tour at the Saigon Central Post Office and neighbouring Notre Dame Cathedral, both of which are constructed in fine French colonial style. The tour finishes after our last stop at Binh Tay Market in Saigon’s vibrant China Town, where we can shop for great deals on souvenirs and south Vietnamese specialities.

 Activities: Head to the Mekong Delta to enjoy boat trips, visits to local workshops and other quaint aspects of the region before returning to Ho Chi Minh City.

Savour breakfast at the hotel and take the drive to the My Tho for One Day Tour to Mekong Delta, where fabulous scenery of rivers and fertile forests abound. We stop first at My Tho, one of the biggest cities in the Mekong Delta, where we can take a boat down its canal and arrive at Dragon Island. Here, we explore a fish farm operating directly in the Mekong River before taking the cruise into the Xep Canal.

Again, we disembark at the luxuriant banks of the waterway and find a traditional village with a wealth of local crafts on display. We relax for a bit with some honey or fruit tea at a gorgeous local house, all while listening to live music performed with traditional instruments.

We continue along the humble paths of the village in a horse and cart before arriving at the river once more and enjoying lunch in a riverside restaurant.

Following lunch, we head to a local workshop to enjoy coconut candy, a local specialty of this highly tropical region, before ending our Mekong experience at My Tho. We take the drive back to Ho Chi Minh City from here, where our hotel and some free time awaits.

Day 1

Hanoi Arrival (N/A)

Ho Chi Minh - Cu Chi Tunnels - City Tour (B,L)
