History of Thien Canh Son Cave

In fact, there is no mysterious story surrounding the formation of Thien Canh Son Cave. For millions of years, limestones have been eroded and deposited to form this cave. Water erodes the calcium crystals in limestone, and the crystals combine on the cave ceiling and ground to form stalagmites and stalactites.

Thien Canh Son Cave was formerly known as "Hang Co" due to its location on Hon Co Island. When the tourism potential of this cave was realized, the name of the cave was changed to attract more tourists. "Thien Canh Son" means "the mountain with a view of fairy land," and if you come to visit this cave, you will agree that it is worthy of its lovely name.
