Is it better to stay in Da Nang or Hoi An?

  Mar 11, 2023

  By Thao Le

Da Nang and Hoi An are two tourist attractions that are both located in central Vietnam. Each destination has its own beauty and novel things to inspire the passion for exploration in every visitor. Therefore, when it comes to making decisions, many people might feel confused about whether Da Nang or Hoi An is a better place to stay during a trip to Vietnam. We suggest that visitors should take at least a two-day trip to not miss out on any special tastes of Central Vietnam.

Weather

Because both locations lie in the center of Vietnam, the weather is affected by the tropical monsoon climate, which is portrayed by the high temperature, high level of precipitation, and humidity. Therefore, to answer where to stay, Hoi An or Da Nang visitors can consider either city for their trip based on temperature and weather preferences. January through July is the dry season, and August through December is the wet season. Traveling during the dry season is recommended to enjoy every intriguing activity and contemplate the most beautiful scenery in those places.

With the beautiful beaches and captivating beaches stretching around the city, Da Nang is genuinely a must-visit place for any visitors to reduce the heat of summer and find ease when immersed in the mesmerizing landscapes.

Beaches

Non Nuoc Beach

Lining at the foot of the Marble Mountains, the coastline winds like peach-colored silk with a length of 5km. The pure blue water here is an enchanting element that lures a number of tourists coming to bathe, enjoy fresh seafood, and admire the beauty of this bestowed beach.

My Khe Beach

My Khe Beach is well-known for its clear blue sky, smooth white sand, gentle slope, all-year-round clear and warm water, and beautiful areas surrounded by coconut trees. Here, everything around you is peaceful and relaxing. And its poetic beauty can captivate visitors from the moment they arrive. That is why Forbes Magazine named My Khe beach as “one of the most attractive beaches on the planet”. At My Khe beach, Sunrise and sunset are two striking moments that visitors cannot miss out on because of the combination of dim sunlight with the bustling atmosphere of a docked fishing boat.

Son Tra Peninsula

Son Tra is not far from the center of Da Nang but visitors can be awarded the stunning sceneries. This peninsula is a great place to unwind, especially if you’re looking for a white sand beach to sunbathe, ancient woods, and outdoor activities. You will be astounded by Son Tra Peninsula's diversified flora and animals when you come. This peninsula is well known for its more than 100 species of langurs, a rare and nearly extinct monkey species worldwide.

Bana Hills

Ba Na hills is one of the most attractive locations for tourists, because of its French architecture lining at 1489 meters above sea level. When visitors get there, they can have a chance to view the whole area from above by transferring by cable car and take a lot of pictures at Golden Bridge with the design of two giant hands. Ba Na Hills aims to provide visitors with a variety of thrilling experiences thanks to its lovely scenery and appealing activities. From its opening in 1919, when it was constructed by French colonists, Ba Na Hill Station has been referred to as the "Da Lat of Da Nang City" due to its mild and pleasant temperature.

Marble mountains

Marble Mountains combines five peaks of mountains, which are located seven kilometers from Da Nang's center. The park, which replicates the majority of cultural aspects of traditional architecture and historical markers, has maintained the most significant and complex period of Vietnamese history.
